ABOUT

Artist Statement

My current works focus on soothing the inner monologue, self-analyzing and introspection while inspiring relatable and fun motifs through paint and paper cutting. My aesthetic ranges from loose and quick drawings - mimicking a diary or journal, to tight impressionistic colors and textures. Works often address my own struggles with mental illness and dissociation, especially in relation to body positivity, queer love and a never ending thought of "You are not good enough as you are." Text and quotes are splashed across bumbling backdrops to express fleeting thoughts and words that describe my everyday life. These phrases and concepts serve as reminders I constantly tell myself in cyclical patterns.
